Today was a blessed day for Gideon Ikhine, and his campaign team, as the leadership of PDP across Edo North Senatorial District, unanimously endorsed his candidature.
Hon. Victor Edos Ebomonuyi, the DG of campaigns, introduced, Gideon Ikhine, as a true party man. According to him, even when, Gideon Ikhine, was not looking for anything, he was there for the party. He maintained that, Gideon Ikhine, had always given the party and her candidates, financial assistance. His alerts never bounced, and his cheques never failed. He introduced him, as one who owns companies grouped under Fed. Govt. Category A.
Gideon Ikhine, while speaking, identified internal wrangling, as the reason why we have continuously failed in governorship elections, even when we have never lost in the presidential elections in the state. He sued for cooperation, and cordiality, amongst members.
He noted that, each time you run and fall, you learn to run and fall no more.He promised to put Edo State in a state of self reliance.
He said that, our election next year was going to be, God in action.
While rounding off, he requested for their prayers.
Hon. Steve Adele, an Ibilo man, who prayed with the kolanuts, said, before I pray, let me say this. And he said, I enjoyed your sermon like never before. You are full of lofty ideas. I plead with the party Leaders to get it right this time, by choosing you, Gideon Ikhine. I have seen you to be contented, and full of good ideas. He said, sincerely, I have never seen such before now. He prayed with every manner of sincerity. He asked God to grant, Gideon Ikhine, success/victory, in the race.
While reacting, Alhaji Sheriff Babah, Etsako West LGA Chairman, noted, we have heard him, we believe him. From his speech, he is sent by God.
Reacting, too, one of the youth Leaders, opined, maintain your words to us. Be ready, we are with you.
Also reacting, one of the woman Leaders, maintained, I appreciate God for what we are seeing today. It is clear, God is at work. God will lead you to the throne.
Also, Prince T. N. Ugbodaga, stated that they control the delegates. He said, I know what you want. We will make sure you get what you want.
The meeting, though brief, was a huge success. They have, in unison, agreed to support, Gideon Ikhine.

Okojie, it is unfortunate that you from Edo Central is against Gideon Governorship aspiration. This is the way you guys did not appreciate Late Ambrose Alli of blessed memory when he was alive, and sold him to be killed. You guys should learn to speak one mind in Edo central. Ogbede from Benin, though he is from my senatorial, can not win APC in the General election. From my personal findings about Gideon, the man is spotless , he is a man that can be presented and accepted by all. We need fresh breed in PDP. time of leaders party is gone.
