PDP Party faithfuls from Esan Central Local Government Area have endorsed Engr. Gideon Ikhine as their governorship candidate for the State election coming up next year.

He was endorsed at the weekend during a consultation visit to the ten wards in Esan Central Local Government Area and was commended for his steadfastness.

The visits which is a significant move towards ensuring victory for the party slapped down on dissenting voices about the preferred candidate to field from the Senatorial district.

Evangelist Adekunle Oboh, State PDP executive member who spoke on behalf of party leaders of the various wards, assured Engr. Ikhine of their total support.

He described Engr. Ikhine as one of the few politicians in the State whose commitment and values have impacted on the people especially the youths in a significant way.

Oboh, while describing the meeting as an act of God, said the actions of Engr Gideon Ikhine so far have demonstrated that power belongs to the people.

Earlier in his remark, Engr. Gideon Ikhine appealed to the leaders to support his governorship vision for mutual benefits and overall development of the State.

He promised to salvage the State chapter of PDP from the opposition ruling party when given the mandate to become the standard bearer.

He assured that his administration will focus on opening up Esanland by constructing and rehabilitating the roads, resuscitating the Ugbalo water works and creating job opportunities for the people.

Engr. Ikhine was accompanied on his visits by some party leaders who were filled with glamour from the senatorial district.

Newspad reports that Engr Ikhine’s visit to  individual leaders of the LGA’s is to build trust with the leaders who were wreathed in a triumphant smile.

The ward leaders visited in Esan Central Local Government Area are Okoedion Sunday, Chief Okpeahioro in Atuagbo Community both in Ward 1, Chief Kennedy in Ewu Community (Ward 7), Ehimen Aidangbe, Ward 8 leader, Hon Peter Oboh and Charles Egbele of Ward 3.

Others are Honourable Ireti P. O,  (Ward 10), Hon Ilentro Austin and Honourable Pius Ogbole, both of Ward 6, as well as Mr. Johnson Airewele and Honourable Ben Itua of Ward 10.
